MLB Front Office Manager is a managerial simulation where the player is responsible for the sporting and financial success of his baseball team. As with most non-German games of this genre, the financial aspect is limited to the exchange of players and the hiring of players through free agents. The player spends the most time with their team: rostering, studying detailed stats (spread across many large-print menus), and tactics. The matches are displayed in a 3D presentation and the player can give orders to his athletes.

Before starting his career, the player can choose his old profession which influences his stats, e.g. a former scout has a good eye for talent. With the successes, the player gains experience points which improve his statistics. In addition to the usual 30-year career, there are three fantastic game modes: In "Rotisserie", the championship is not only based on the sporting success of the team but on the personal ranking of the player in certain categories, in " Head-to-Head "the player changes teams several times in one season and in the third, finances play absolutely no role. There is also an online league.
