Based between the events of the Game Boy Advance titles, Mega Man Battle Network 1 and 2, Lan and virtual friend Mega Man are here to stop an evil virus, codenamed 'Zero' from destroying Cyberspace.
Guide Mega Man through each side-scrolling level, hack cyberspace and kill virus elements. Choose from a range of weapons loaded onto combat chips, which can be selected and downloaded when found. Each chip provides a new weapon or defense option for Mega Man.
Boss fights at the end of certain levels and puzzle elements throughout the game add to the adventure, while Mega Man's strengths can be upgraded from RPG style during gameplay.
