Max Payne is a series of video games developed by Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne 1 and 2) and by Rockstar Studios (Max Payne 3). The series is named after the protagonist Max Payne, a police officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and then a detective with the New York City Police Department (NYPD).
