Mass Effect 2 is an action-RPG science fiction game developed by BioWare Edmonton with assistance from BioWare Montreal and published by Electronic Arts. This sequel to Mass Effect is the second episode of the Mass Effect trilogy. The game was released on January 26, 2010 in North America and January 28, 2010 in Europe, on Xbox 360 and Windows (PC) media. During Gamescom 2010 taking place in Cologne, the BioWare studio announced the arrival of the title on PlayStation 3. It was released on January 20, 2011 on this platform.
