Based on the March of the Penguins documentary, this game follows the story of emperor penguins as they embark on a long journey to raise their young. The game was divided into twelve chapters, with different gameplay. The penguins must navigate the environment, find a suitable mate, find food, care for the egg, guard the young, and finally make it all the way back.
Much of the game is based on the Lemmings concept. As the penguins move forward, players must help them land softly, melt obstacles, lure them in a certain direction using fish, and place trampolines, ramps, slides , bridges and steps to allow them to access new areas. Levels can be explored using binoculars and penguins must collect a certain amount of snowflakes to pass.
