Lunar Legend is a version of Lunar: The Silver Star, which contains some of the changes introduced in its remake, Lunar: Silver Star Story.
The graphic style and story-related changes are closer to the remade version than the original. However, this version does not contain the cutscenes from the remake's animated film, replacing them with still shots. Additionally, random battles from the original version return, as opposed to visible enemies from the remake.
Changes unique to this version include the introduction of special power moves, which can be triggered during battles once a special bar is replenished, and the elimination of a crawlable world map in favor of a move linear "point to point" between locations. This version also has a different English translation.
