Lost Planet 2 takes place ten years after the events of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Thanks to Wayne's actions, the planet EDN III is no longer just an ice world. Many parts of it are already dry. Jungles with lush rivers have grown, and dry deserts filled with sand have emerged. But life on EDN III is still not easy. The Akrid, although hampered by the heat, remain a very serious threat. And NEVEC is working on a diabolical new plan while the other factions are engaged in a civil war over thermal energy. Even though it is no longer needed to survive the cold, it is still necessary to power all the machines in the factory and is therefore very valuable.
