LIFE FORCE NINTENDO NES

Salamander (Saramanda), renamed Life Force (Raifu Fōsu) in North America and the Japanese arcade re-release, is a scrolling shooter arcade game from Konami. Released in 1986 as a spin-off from Gradius, Salamander introduced a streamlined power-up system, two-player cooperative gameplay, and side-to-side and side-scrolling stages. Some of them later became normal for future Gradius games.

Salamander was followed by a sequel in 1996 titled Salamander 2.
