Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 is an action-adventure video game in the Legacy of Kain series, developed by Crystal Dynamics, released for PC and PlayStation 2 in 2001.
The player embodies Raziel, a "Vampire of Souls" who wants revenge on Kain for having him thrown into the Lake of the Dead and damned forever. The game offers a gothic and violent atmosphere, where the hero sees his fellow beings being massacred and the Kingdom sinking into decay.
The scenario is complex, since each episode of the Legacy of Kain series reveals a different part of the general story, forcing the player to have completed the previous opuses to fully understand the new revelations brought.
