Left 4 Dead 2 (literally "Left for dead also" N 1), abbreviated L4D2, is a first-person shooter developed by Valve and released in November 2009. It features a team of four survivors who cross a world filled with zombies, called "infected".
The game is the sequel to Left 4 Dead, released a year earlier. The gameplay is similar, but enriched with new types of infected, new weapons and new game modes. Since the release of the Cold Stream extension in 2012, the game contains all the campaigns of the two opuses.
