JU-ON: THE GRUDGE (NINTENDO WII)

When someone dies with a powerful grudge, a curse is born. A series of Ju-On horror films, all from the same director, have been popular since 2000 first in Japan, then remade in Hollywood in 2004 as The Grudge. This is a "haunted house simulator" adventure game where Erika Yamada comes into contact with a curse while looking for her dog in an abandoned warehouse. Then, when she returns home, all of her family members she meets become cursed as well. You play as each in first person view encountering their own difficult episode.

Locations vary from a run-down factory to an empty hospital, apartment building, model factory, and the movie's cursed house. The game is basically an interactive horror movie that tries to scare you as you explore the locations and try to survive against supernatural forces. The Wii Remote controls the player's flashlight and their movement in the game. If the player flinches at scary times with the remote, their score decreases. A person with a second remote can also trigger spooky events for the main player. The player must keep moving while finding the keys to open the doors and also find batteries to replenish the flashlight or else you will be attacked and die.
