Final Blow is an action game based on the sport of boxing. You can play the fighters in a sequence of knockout competitions (computer versions also include a turn-based league). Rounds last one minute, with a short break between them. As in real sport, your objective is to knock your opponent down for 10 seconds, gradually weakening them with a series of punches. You can block punches, to prevent them from inflicting damage on you. The ring is of a limited size, so players can be cornered, although the referee steps in to break up boxers if they get tangled in a stalemate.

The Genesis version is not to be confused with the Master System game of the same name, which is entirely different.
