Insecticide is a portable version of the PC version. In the future, insects became the dominant species on Earth and replaced human beings. The player takes control of two insects named Detective Chrys Liszt and his partner Roachy Caruthers as they investigate a murder at the Nectarola Soft Drink Company.
There are many elements to the game, with the player interrogating suspects using good cop/bad cop techniques and interviewing witnesses in a story-driven style. Players can also explore environments for clues, track suspicious bugs and attack enemies with gameplay for this using the stylus to aim and the D-pad to move the main character and the L&R shoulder buttons to fire the weapon of their choice.
