The IndyCar Series is a car racing championship with single-seater cars. This discipline is considered the pinnacle of single-seater racing in North America.
IndyCar has been the main championship organized by the Indy Racing League since 1996. For legal reasons, it only bears this name since the 2003 season. Since 2008 and the announcement of the disappearance of the CART/Champ Car, the IndyCar Series is the only major single-seater racing championship in North America. NTT, a telecommunications company, is the current title sponsor of the series.
