IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is the 4th entry in the popular WWII flight simulation game series.

In this version, you will take part in a total of 5 theaters of World War II - the Battle of Britain, Stalingrad, Berlin, Sicily and Korsun, totaling more than 50 missions. New to the series is the ability to choose between simulation management like previous games and arcade management, which is new to the series. As the game is primarily a simulator, it features realistic damage models, including engine damage and bullet holes in your plane's hull.

Multiplayer has 4 game modes including Dogfight (basic deathmatch), Team Battle (team deathmatch), Capture (similar to capture the flag, in that you have to land on an airstrip and hold it long enough The enemy must eliminate you and capture it themselves) and Strike (team play, you must destroy the enemy base before it destroys yours).

Aircraft featured in the game include the IL-2, IL-4, Hurricane Mk II, Spitfire Mk II, IX XVI, JU-87, and P-51. You have the option to apply different skins to these planes.
