Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 is the sequel to Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee with 12 new courses to play on ranging from tropical island, desert and even ocean views. There are also 24 different golfers to play along with five different caddies with the ability to customize them with over 300 different options such as clothes, hats, and even hairstyles among many other things. Players can also get an attribute boost by combining certain clothing styles to help them in their game.

There are many modes to choose from including practice mode, tournament mode, VS mode as well as multiplayer mode with the ability to go online using Ad-hoc and challenge up to 16 different human opponents in line. Players can also unlock accessories and gear by completing certain objectives and winning tournaments in Challenge mode to further customize their character.
