High Heat Baseball 2000 is a baseball game that focuses on the simulation aspect. Compared to its predecessor High Heat Baseball, it now has an official license for the 1998 MLB season and uses a 3D graphics engine.
Game modes include exhibition matches, season (of varying lengths), home derby, play-offs, and a multi-season career mode. In the season and league mode there is even a management option in which the player does not play the matches himself but is limited to tactics and team development.
The player can customize much of the ruleset. The player editor allows you to modify attributes and appearance. With automatic functions for situations like defensive alignment or throwing, the player can delegate unwanted tasks to the computer.
