HARRY POTTER FOR KINECT (XBOX 360 X360)

In Harry Potter for Kinect, players can re-enact moments from the Harry Potter film series using the Xbox 360's Kinect motion sensor. Play as Harry Potter himself or create a new student using technology. of facial scanning, players can enter Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, reliving moments chosen from the eight films and seven school years that made up the Harry Potter experience.

Essentially a collection of mini-games, Harry Potter for Kinect allows the player to attend magical classes like potions and herbology, play the broom-flying sport of Quidditch, battle magical creatures like a troll, and a herd of Cornish Pixies, and duel with other magic users. Each activity is mapped to human body movement, with the player flicking their hand as if wielding a wand, moving their body to avoid danger, and making moves appropriate to the current scenario. Voice commands are also built in to call spell names to access them.

While the main adventure presents a set of challenges in order, certain activities like Potion Making and Wizarding Duel also have additional levels with increased complexity. Levels can also be retried to try for higher performance scores. The game also allows competitive and cooperative versions of certain mini-games.
