Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360 console. It was released on February 26, 2009 in Japan and Australia, February 27 in Europe, and February 3 March in the United States. This game is set in the fictional Halo universe in the year 2531, twenty years before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. The player commands human soldiers from the Spirit of Fire ship to prevent a fleet of ancient ships from falling into the hands of the Covenant Alliance.
