Guitar Hero: Metallica is a rhythm game dedicated to the band Metallica and a few other guest bands. This edition of Guitar Hero has been available in Europe since May 22, 2009 on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. For the occasion, the four members of the group: Hetfield, Ulrich, Hammett and Trujillo, performed a motion capture for their in-game avatars.
It is part of the Guitar Hero series and based on Guitar Hero: World Tour, meaning the game is playable as a full band, complete with drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. Neversoft clarified that according to them this episode is the most difficult of the series.
