GLOBAL DEFENSE (SEGA MASTER SYSTEM SMS)

SDI: Strategic Defense Initiative is based on classic shoot'em up action. It puts you at the controls of a satellite which must ensure that the wave of bombs aimed at the United States does not touch. Direction of movement and direction of fire are controlled independently - on 16-bit builds you rotate the mouse left and right to direct targeting, move it up and down to increase range, and use the joystick to move the satellite and thus avoid any contact.

Each level is divided into defensive and offensive stages. At defensive levels, you have to stop every unit as they head towards land, a missile command. Offensive levels follow the old "shoot it before it gets dangerous" philosophy, being free-flying shoot 'em up sections among a network of destructible (but worth saving) platforms ).
