Freestyle MetalX is, as the name suggests, a motocross stunt game. It features 9 professional riders and 12 licensed bikes to start with, plus a few secrets. It's structured much like the Tony Hawk series, with a career mode consisting of a series of levels, each containing objectives such as performing specific tricks, finding gaps, and finding things, which could take the form of breaking windows, running over people, etc. In this case, there are also race objectives. Each objective gives you money, which can be used to unlock new riders, bikes, and levels.
The controls consist of an accelerator, brake, and clutch, as well as jump, spin, and turn modifier buttons. The modifier can be used to transform a superman into a non-superman, for example. Wheelies are controlled with the right analog stick.
