Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken, simply titled Fire Emblem in the West, is a tactical role-playing video game released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. It was developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. This is the seventh installment in the Fire Emblem series.
It is the first installment in the franchise to cross borders into Japan, and was renamed simply Fire Emblem when it was released in Europe. In order to avoid confusion, Intelligent Systems also officially uses the localized title of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade to refer to this game. This episode tells the adventures of Lyn, Eliwood and Hector, and its story is the prequel to Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi, released the previous year on the same platform.
