Final Fantasy XII is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix, released for PlayStation 2 on March 16, 2006 in Japan. It was released in North America on October 31, 2006 by Square Enix, and in Europe in February 2007 by Ubisoft. Prior to its European release, the game had already sold over four million copies in the rest of the world.

A remastered version, titled Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, was released on July 11, 2017, for PlayStation 4, February 1, 2018, for Microsoft Windows via Steam, and Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on April 30, 2019.
