Final Fantasy VI is a role-playing video game, developed and published by Square Co., Ltd. (now Square Enix) in 1994 for the Super Nintendo video game console. Final Fantasy VI was released for the PlayStation in 1999, for the Game Boy Advance in 2006 and then for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console in 2011. Final Fantasy VI is the last title in the series to be released on Super Nintendo, and the first Final Fantasy series where series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi produced rather than directed.
