Final Fantasy IV (Fainaru Fantajī Fō?) is a role-playing video game developed by Square under the direction of series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. The game was published by Square on Super Nintendo in July 1991 in Japan and then in November in North America in a refined version. It is the fourth episode of the Final Fantasy series and the first to be produced on a 16-bit console.
