The 2008 edition of the long-running EA FIFA football franchise improves on the gameplay and features of previous games. The next-gen version marks the series' second regular appearance on Xbox 360 and the first on PS3. Compared to the previous year, the game now includes the full roster of teams and leagues, as in other versions: 620 licensed teams, 30 national leagues, with the addition of the Hyundai A-League (Australia), the Czech Gambrinus Liga (Czech Republic), and the FAI Premier Division (Ireland). As usual, the leagues have been updated with new teams, and the major footballing countries (England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain) have multiple divisions. There are also 23 clubs from around the world that are not featured in specific leagues.
