Far Cry 5 is a first-person shooter, action-adventure video game published by Ubisoft and jointly developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Toronto studios. After a first teaser on May 22, 2017, it was officially announced on May 26, 2017, and its release took place on March 27, 2018.
The game contains an open world, which is set in a fictional county in Montana, United States, called Hope County, in contemporary times.
A standalone opus, following the game called Far Cry: New Dawn was released on February 15, 2019, set 17 years after the events of the game.
