Fable: The Journey is an on-rails shooter video game developed by Lionhead Studios and released by Microsoft Studios in October 2012 for the Xbox 360 as a Kinect exclusive.
The game is announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011, with a first trailer and a demo unveiled. It was stated at E3 2011 that the game is considered a standalone, separate from the main series. A new gameplay trailer was shown at E3 2012, leading to Fable: The Journey being nominated for the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2012, in the "Best Motion Simulation Game" category.
Unlike other games in the series, Fable: The Journey is developed with the Unreal Engine 3.
