F1 2000 was Visual Sciences' last F1 racing game to appear on the PlayStation. With an official Formula 1 license from the FIA, it includes the full season of the 2000 World Championship, including the new Indianapolis Grand Prix of the United States and the Jaguar Racing team.
Game modes feature full championship, quick races, race weekends, custom grid and time trial modes. In the multiplayer section, you can either compete in 2-player split-screen sessions or play a hot-seat time trial mode for up to 22 players.
All the cars can be fine-tuned in the pits, and there is clear radio commentary between the pits and the cars. Full telemetry data is displayed for detailed configuration changes. Your best performances can be recorded in replay mode, including race highlights. In this version, computer opponents now have more realistic racing behavior as they make mistakes and have car breakdowns.
