ET The Extra-Terrestrial is a licensed adventure game based on the movie. The adventure takes place on multiple screens with scattered pits. The object of the game is to find pieces of ET's phone. Once all the pieces have been found, ET calls home and the spaceship arrives to retrieve it. ET can collect Reese's scattered pieces in order to regain energy that constantly depletes over time.
The Phone Pieces are in some of the pits, and ET has to jump to get them; sometimes there is also a dead flower in the pit which earns extra points if brought back to life. Once ET has done his business in the pit, to get out he must levitate, but he must be careful not to fall back into the pit after leaving.
Scientists and evil agents roam the area, trying to capture ET and steal the parts he is carrying.
