ECCO THE DOLPHIN SEGA GENESIS SG

Ecco the Dolphin is a series of adventure games created in 1992 by Ed Annunziata. The series was initially carried by the Master System, the Mega Drive and the Dreamcast. The Sega game compilations (Sega Smash Pack, Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection then Sega Genesis Classics) and the Nintendo Virtual Console system allow the first two games to be present on a large number of media. The license is renowned for its great difficulty.

The universe of the series is presented as a world of Science-Fiction combining nature and alien technologies. The player embodies the eponymous hero Ecco, a bottlenose dolphin recognizable by his starry forehead symbolizing the constellation of the Dolphin. Time travel and the myth of Atlantis are two recurring themes in the series.
