Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires is an expansion for Dynasty Warrior 6.
The object of the game is to unify all of ancient China under one leader in Conquest mode. To do this, the player must each month decide on a strategy by choosing skills from cards, deciding whether to attack an adjacent territory or to pass. Sometimes an enemy will attack the player's territory which will then have to be defended. However, the player can change allegiance at any time.
Weapons are upgraded like in Dynasty Warrior 4 and can be equipped with skills and abilities.
Up to 100 custom characters can also be created, using existing officer stances and weapons, as well as unlockable clothing pieces. These officers are available to participate in the conquest alongside leaders, generals, and even generic-looking officers. One of the regular Dynasty Warrior series generals, Meng Huo, who was not available in the original game (although he was put in the PSP version), can now be played.
