This opus follows Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 released on the same media in 2006 and 2007.
Thus, more than 160 characters (including transformations) are playable in a selection of thirty arenas available, some of which are available in three versions: day, evening and night. In certain arenas, the night allows Saiyans with their tails to use the moon to transform into giant apes. Some use an artificial moon that they will create themselves like Vegeta, Thales and King Vegeta.
