DJ Hero 2 is a rhythm video game and a sequel to DJ Hero, a spin-off series of Guitar Hero. DJ Hero 2 uses a controller that imitates a turntable, as in DJ Hero, to simulate Turntablism, the action of creating a new musical work from one or more songs using turntables and sound effects. The game, developed by FreeStyleGames and published by Activision, was released in October 2010.
