Disney Sports Basketball is the fourth and final in a series of GameCube-exclusive games that combine popular sports with Disney characters, offering three-on-three hoops.
Players can choose from eight different teams, led by Disney characters Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Max, Huey, and Mortimer, with the remaining two players on each team filled with generic characters (excluding Huey, who is joined by his brothers). Each team comes with its own arena. Available game modes include exhibition matches (up to four players), a 14-match season (7 home matches, 7 away matches) and a Challenge Cup, which is a competition against six other teams in a freely selectable order, followed by matches against the "bad guys" teams of Mortimer and Pete. Winning the Challenge Cup unlocks the All-Star Game mode, for which teams consisting of only star characters can be selected. A tutorial mode that teaches game controls in separate lessons is also available.
