DIG DUG (ATARI 7800)

Dig Dug is an arcade game for 1-2 players where you have to use your shovel to dig your way through the dirt. Two monsters, called Pooka and Fygar, will continuously chase you. The only weapon you carry is an air pump, which you can use to inflate monsters to the point where they explode. (if you start inflating them but stop doing so, the monsters will go back to normal). Also, rocks are scattered all over the land and you can use these rocks to smash them. If the monsters don't find you for several seconds, they will eventually turn into ghosts, able to walk through the land. They are invincible and cannot be killed. Occasionally vegetables will appear in the center, and you can get them for points.
