DEFENDER (XBOX)

Defender is a video game developed by Williams Electronics, released in 1981 on an arcade machine. It is the shoot 'em up which inaugurates the horizontal scrolling. Defender was, thanks to the novelties brought to the genre and its speed, a very popular game in arcades in the early 1980s.

It gave rise to a sequel, with Stargate (also called Defender II) in 1981.
