Darkest Dungeon is a rogue-like, RPG, and dungeon crawler video game developed and published by Red Hook Studios, released in 2016 on Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. It is characterized by a very black dark fantasy universe and a great difficulty.

Darkest Dungeon allows the player to control a team of adventurers exploring dungeons. The game integrates an original stress level system for each hero, when the stress level is too high, the hero gains a permanent affliction which can be negative or sometimes positive. The death of a hero is permanent and it is not possible to load a save, which increases the difficulty of the game.
