DANTE'S INFERNO (PSP PORTABLE PLAYSTATION)

Dante's Inferno is an action-packed journey through the world of Inferno, based on the first canticle of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. In this adaptation, Dante is reimagined as a Knight Templar, a veteran of the Crusades, who returns home to find his beloved Beatrice has been killed. At this moment, the murderer also stabs Dante in the back. Dante is however able to resist Death, who wants to take him to hell, and steals his scythe. With these new powers, he can descend into hell alone to follow Beatrice whose soul has been captured by the devil. Lucifer plans to marry his soul, which should have gone to heaven instead, to escape hell and overthrow God. To prevent this from happening, Dante must travel through the nine circles of hell and subdue their demons to ultimately pass his toughest test. Matching Inferno's original theme of acknowledging and rejecting sin, he must face his own past, his own crimes, and his own sins to set Beatrice free. During the trip he often meets the poet Virgil who explains the different circles and drawn flashbacks show how Dante sinned in each circle during the crusades.
