Cubivore is a "Call of the Wild" on interactive media. Gento Matsumotos serene and surreal portrait of a lost wild nature then of the civilization which returns (or progresses) towards the wild nature. Of course, the most obvious thing about Cubivore would be the graphics. 99% of all scenery and creatures in the game are made of cubes, rectangles or squares. Even the water ripples away from a step that falls in squares. Pools of blood in squares on the ground and even the moon and the sun appear as cubes in the sky.
As you progress through the game, you'll eat prey (or sometimes fight a predator) to gain new forms and powers. The more forms you gain, the more wilderness returns to the land (This wilderness was recently stolen by a rather nasty killer cubivore). Naturally, your goal is to dethrone this killer of nature and establish yourself as the king of the beast, filling the land with wilderness once again.
