CSI: Unsolved! allows the player to collect and analyze forensic evidence in five criminal cases. As a new recruit to the Las Vegas night shift, the player joins characters from the television series such as Sara Sidle, Nick Stokes, and Greg Sanders in their investigations. The five cases are:
Starring Sara Sidle: Pop star Jodi is found dead in her dressing room, apparently stung by a scorpion.
With Ray Langston: The mummified remains of a stranger are found in the desert. He appears to have drowned, but there is no water in sight.
Starring Nick Stokes: A beautiful young nurse at a posh nursing home is found dead. One of her wealthy clients had just changed his will to leave her everything.
Starring Greg Sanders: A group of CSI actors are shocked to discover that one of their own is actually killed.
Starring Catherine Willows: A reality TV show about physical challenges and endurance tests is airing live when one of the two finalists collapses on stage.
