Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back is a platform video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1997 for the PlayStation. The game was re-released for the Greatest Hits and The Best lines in 1998 as well as the Platinum line in 1999. The game was re-released in 2007 on the PlayStation Network but was pulled as a precaution when the MediEvil and Spyro 2 games: Gateway to Glimmer had operational issues. It was later re-released on the US network on January 10, 2008, and on the European network on February 2, 2011.
