Crackdown is an action and third-person shooter video game developed by Realtime Worlds and published by Microsoft Games Studios for Xbox 360. The game was released on February 20, 2007 in North America and February 23, 2007 in the rest of the world. Crackdown was designed by David Jones, the founder of Realtime Worlds and also behind the games Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings. The sequel to this game, Crackdown 2, was released in 2010 on the same console.
