Colin McRae Rally is a car rally racing video game developed and published by Codemasters, released for PlayStation and Windows. The game appeared in Europe in 1998, then in North America in 2000. Produced with the support of Scottish world rally champion Colin McRae, Colin McRae Rally was considered the benchmark for rally simulations when it was released. Several sequels emerge. A Game Boy Color adaptation developed by Spellbound Entertainment and distributed by THQ was released in Europe in 2001.
