Chaos Control Remix is, as the name suggests, a modified and updated version of Chaos Control featuring many changes and new features compared to the original Japanese version, some, but not all, of which were present in the European Saturn version:
2-player simultaneous play has been added
Support for the Virtua Gun light pistol has been added
Zone 2 from the original (virtual) game has been removed, leaving only the Manhattan and Space zones.
Improved video quality and loading time
The game has generally been rebalanced to be more difficult
