Board Game Classics includes chess, checkers and backgammon. In each of these games, you can either race against the computer, on one of three difficulty levels, play against your friends, watch the computer play itself, or have a tournament against the computer. You can also choose an avatar, a set of pieces and a board.

Optional variant rules include forced leaps in checkers, castling and enpassing capture in chess, and backgammon scoring and automatic doubling in backgammon.
