BlowOut is a run and gun type video game developed by Terminal Reality and published by Majesco Entertainment, released in 2003 on Windows, GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

Blowout is a game that takes a classic gameplay concept and updates it with modern graphics and sounds. This game is a side-scrolling platform shooter. The graphics are 3-dimensional polygons, but the action stays almost entirely in a 2-dimensional plane.

The setting of the game is a space station which has been invaded by hostile aliens. You play as a villainous soldier who will single-handedly take down the aliens.

You move through each level in a non-linear fashion. You have to fight your way through endless hordes to find keys, flip switches, use elevators, and then finally defeat a big boss in the end.
