Blitz: The League is an American football video game developed and published by Midway Games belonging to the NFL Blitz series. The game was released in October 2005 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox after the National Football League (NFL) signed an exclusive license with Electronic Arts. Lawrence Taylor, who lent his voice to the game, was the official spokesperson. A second version of this game was released for the Xbox 360 in October 2006. In December 2006, a portable version titled Blitz: Overtime was released for PlayStation Portable. These versions included the voice and appearance of former player Bill Romanowski. The game was originally intended as a launch title for the Wii, but the release was delayed and eventually cancelled.

On January 22, 2007, the game was banned by the Australian Film and Literature Classification Bureau. The game was banned due to the use of drugs as rewards in the game.

Its sequel is Blitz: The League II.
