Beethoven's 2nd is a platform game where you get the chance to wear Beethoven's metaphorical shoes - that lovable big dog from the movie.
Your four puppies must be rescued and returned to their mother. As a responsible father and guardian, you will first have to find the puppy, avoiding dangers such as bad-tempered cats, vicious dog-catchers, acorns that have a habit of falling just as you pass below and reckless skaters. You can bark at these opponents to scare them away. And if you find a source of water (like a rubber hose), you can get wet and then - in a tense situation - shake off the water, eliminating everyone nearby.
Once you find your pup, you'll find that getting it back to its mother is no easy task. While your pup can - thankfully - walk on its own when you put it down, you'll still need to carry it over obstacles and you'll be forced to fight all enemies again while doing so.
